How will the crowd welcome Sean Payton back to New Orleans? Did he earn enough grace to cover his exit?

I hope fans don’t boo. I hope they treat it like any other game.

This is the appropriate response

I don't think he expects anything less, and will actually probably get a good laugh out of it. He will then turn to his temper tantrum look with the duck lips and try to show how smart he is with endless end arounds to his TEs

You can thank him for helping us win a Super Bowl, but that a-hole is just as much at fault for leaving the roster mismanaged as Mickey and helping DA get the job.

this is the correct answer. i think drew could've won a super bowl(maybe more) with a different head coach. i don't think sean wins in 2009 w/o drew. should've won more than he did, but wasted drew's prime years trying to act like a know-it-all with bad f/a signings and dc's.

Drew was great, but don't be a fan girl. There are many QBs that could've won with that 09 team. Drew also kinda held us back in his later years. Football is a team game and Sean is responsible for building the team.

The answer here is that we shouldn't know the answer to this. The crowd always boos the other team when they come out the tunnel. This should be no different.

The only way Sean gets a special reception is if the Saints allow it... ie. the PA Announcers go out of their way to say his name. Don't even give an opportunity for cheers or boos.

However, cheers for the other team are stupid. Theres time and place to show appreciation for the past. And during a game aint it for Sean.

I don't cheer for people that quit on my city. Did he do alot for the saints organization during his time? Sure. But he quit when he lost his QB. A coach just quitting and then going somewhere else to coach is unheard of. No one does it. You either retire or get fired. No one just quits...Except Sean.

I can respect and be thankful for what he did while here. He is an opposing head coach now so I hope he gets boo'd out of the building and that we smash them.
