That’s your problem. Shreveport isn’t a hub. It’s geared towards locals either flying out to connecting hubs in the morning

You’re lucky that you got off the plane. I got diverted from ATL to somewhere in South Carolina. It wasn’t even dark and the airport was closed. Sat on the plane for hours with the doors open for air circulation.
