Godammit! Consumables are one of the main things I'm looking forward to enjoying in retirement.

The author of this bill will undoubtedly have a glass of whiskey tonight provided by a lobbyist

You can still get them from out of state. Spending your money elsewhere. That is clearly what Louisiana's politicians prefer.

This state is such a fricking shithole and we're worried about hemp...unreal. Idiots.

I would encourage everyone to write their representative even if you don’t care about this bill.
These guys are focused on everything but what they should. Maybe they don’t care either, but they need to be.

Cant believe people keep voting for this
There were others running besides dems and Republicans.
When u give all the power to a party, they just advance their own interests rather than represent you, because they know the next guy will fall in line as well.

This issue is clearly controlled by alcohol industry lobbyists
Partially correct. This is REALLY being controlled by the Medical Marijuana Monopoly (i.e. Good Day Farms) and its primary investor, Mr Boysie Bollinger.

Republicans should be ashamed. From Landry down they have done absolutely nothing of note and they have complete control. It’s pathetic.

I've got a draft worked up that I'll be sending in.
My rep is a Democrat though, so probably will be voting nay on the bill, but I still want to write in.

They've outlawed thc, abortion, and porn. Next they'll move to more important things like banning alcohol sales on Sundays statewide and then maybe just shutting down all businesses besides restaurants on Sundays.
We're gonna get the entire state into heaven

All committees are streamed live and posted on the legislature's website. The testimony in question is towards the end, maybe around 20 minutes before the final vote. SB237 was the first bill considered.

I’m as conservative as you find but this issue I’m with the weed heads. I have really bad lower back. I have had 2 spinal fusions and a spinal cord stimulator. I ordered gummies from a place out of Wisconsin. It helps with pain management. I guess they would rather me get hooked on opioids or go buying fentanyl off the streets.

I thought the Rep. Paula Davis' husband owned good day farms? is Bollinger the money man and John Davis is just getting a pay out? I'm always interested in the inner workings of these shady thieving schemes.

Pressly argued the bill will help keep children from consuming the hemp products containing THC. Consumable hemp products are currently legal in Louisiana for adults.
Kids drink, steal cars, murder, take prescribed meth and have children out of wedlock.
But we are worried about fricking hemp.
