I’ve had an Altima for years to drive back and forth to work. Yesterday, I originally thought I hit a deer. I wasn’t far from the house and it didn’t get the radiator this time, so I turned around and limbed it back home. I stopped on my way home yesterday and discovered it was a big hog.

So to date, that’s 3 deer, 2 hogs, and a dog unfortunately. This time will be bumper cover #4, grill #3, and left parking lamp #3. It bent the hell out of the condenser and radiator, but it’s holding so we’ll worry about that later if needed.

If the damn thing wasn’t so reliable and got damn good gas mileage, I’d give up on it. But it’ll live to see another day.

Who else has this kind of problem?

You sure it’s not an operator problem?

You sound like a terrible driver.

You sure you haven’t hit a person and convinced yourself it was an animal?

I'm going to recommend some brighter headlights so you can see the road sir.

You sure it's an Altima and not a '58 Plymouth Fury?

Deer tend to run into the road during the mating season. A huge buck ran into the driver's side of my car about 10 years ago. I was told that this is more common during their mating time. The males can get hyper aggressive. The song "Grandma got run over by a reindeer" has been playing in my head ever since.

Movie Voiceover:

It was just a humble Nissan, unassuming.

Until it got a taste...FOR BLOOD.

Now, it stalks the roads, looking only for its next kill.

With blood for oil...
And screams for fuel...

Coming this sunmer, it's

ALTIMURDER!

Do you live in St. Francisville? Possibly off Angola Rd? I only ask, because I'm in the collision repair industry and have many customers in that area with similar stories. I've fixed one couples vehicles 7 times(multiple different vehicles), and they have all been animal hits.

Actually sounds like you are a good driver, because you’re still driving the same car. Good job not panicking and killing your self. If you are using insurance every time this happens you could get cancelled. I’d try the animal warning sirens or something like that.
