I was wondering why stop at 2017, so I looked. Apparently it was because the last 5 Heisman QBs before 2017 were not transfers

I also don’t think his goal is to produce a Heisman, it’s to produce a National Champion. Which I tend to agree with Dabo that it’s largely done through building your roster through high school recruits and not the portal.

That’s 1/7 (Joe Burrow) since 2017. By the way, Cam Newton in 2010 is the only National Championship winning QB to be a transfer that I can think of off the top of my head.
