Dry rieslings are a good match with spicy food (Thai especially) and seafood. Not a wine I would drink absent food, but a good choice with certain meals. But then again, I grew up in the lower 9, so I know Thunderbird by vintages.

Chateau St. Michelle is a pretty common one by the glass at restaurants. I had one I really liked at Pappas Bros. in Dallas. I wonder if they have their wine list on their website
