This stuff is pretty widespread in the laffy area.
Maybe you're confusing it with the recent Parish Grand Reserve release.

It is widespread, but every store sells out the day they get a shipment in.
Just left for BR, but I would be grabbing some tonught if I were still in town.

I have a confession. It is currently on tap at Applebee's in BR, next to Perkins Rowe.

It is a good beer, but not great. Just a solid easy drinking beer. Most of the beer guys on here don't rate it as a great beer. I do like it though, especially in the summer.

It does seem like the perfect "first beer" for a new brewery though since it has the mass appeal -- Pretty much everyone I've introduced it to has enjoyed it, and it's really helped spread Parish Brewing Co.'s name. The Grand Reserve and the beers he'll make down the line will play into the beer guys and the ratings, I'd bet.

It's on tap everywhere in S.La
it's the 6/pks that are hard to find, because
all the stores around Lafayette sale out
of it very fast.
I grabbed a couple 6pks from the Youngsville Rouses this morning to bring back home to BR

I agree with this. It is an accessible beer for somebody that is used to drinking BMC stuff, yet even the craft beer people like it.

Yep. The Grand Reserve is great. The Envie Pale Ale is gonna be good to. I've tasted it and it will sell too. Parish has it going on.

They have it on draft at Rotolo's in Prairieville. They actually had a really nice selected of bottled beer and drafts: Canebrake, Purple Haze, Stella Artois, Covington Strawberry, Andygator, Parade Ground Coffee Porter, among others.

Grand Reserve was good. I didn't really care for Envie, but I admit I only had two sips of it after drinking a good number of other beers.

I think it could have been a little hoppier, but it was a good beer IMO. I understand that he is still tweaking the recipe. It is going to sell because, like Canebrake, it is going to appeal to some of the regular BMC group and some of the craft beer group.

It is going to sell because, like Canebrake, it is going to give everyone from Lafayette a chub as they claim this is the end all be all of beers.. since it is from the food capital of LA of course.

There may be some truth in your sarcasm, but the fact remains that Canebrake is a good beer and so is the Grand Reserve.

Are kegs available at the retail level yet?

I've never had a bad batch or a bad beer from them. I cant say that about any other LA brewery. It isn't the second coming of Pliny the elder but it is a damn fine execution of a small beer and consistent quality.

No idea, but it is on tap so many places I would think that kegs were available.
