Jake you probably don't remember me but I played CAYL ball with your brother and dad and went to school with M and C at some point.
Aren't you the little bro? Glad to see you keeping the tradition going

I had to read through four pages just so I didn't repeat...
Amphorae They dumped a ton of money into that place only to find that Baton Rouge isn't into overpriced hummus and the likes, even with white table cloths.
Pinoy The only Filipino eatery in town which didn't know if it wanted to be a sports bar or a good restaurant, and it chose neither.
Montana's A Colombian themed restaurant that served one of my favorite dishes in the city...bandeja paisa. They also butchered their own meats and had some harder to find exotic produce and ingredients on hand. Maybe I shouldn't use the word "themed" because they were hardcore Colombians...no English spoken.
Fricken Chicken 'nuff said.
Pavé Where was this place, Lobdell perhaps...maybe ten years ago? I remember having a soft shell crab dish with some premium sake. The price tag was large, and probably why they didn't make it.
Chicago's I miss their lunch filet.
Taiko I'd feel more sorry for them because they dumped a TON of money into this place, but I'm still scratching my head as to what they were thinking. They picked a horrible spot on Airline and I'm not sure what neighborhood they were expecting to draw from, especially in this city which is already saturated with hibachi/sushi joints.
Dingo's My first Tooheys beer.
Off The Hook When I looked into the seafood case right after they opened up, I knew it just had to be too good to be true. Sadly, it was.
Ronnie's Ribs If I could implode two thirds of all Baton Rouge restaurants just to bring one back, it would be Ronnie's Ribs. Fantastic owners and staff, very tasty food, and all for a ridiculously low price.

The first serop's on government. I believe this restaurant is why we have so many good lebanese restaurants today.
