Why people assume that a hand-timed is always faster than laser is beyond me. That could be true, but a person could also be late in stopping the timer to make sure they cross the line

That and the fact that most NFL scouts rely on their own hand time rather than the laser times.

Sometimes they're late, and sometimes they're early. The one you hear about is always the lowest one, therefore...early.

Very true statement. While most will be slower on lazer...the fact is that you can't rely on hand-timed accuracy.
