He had the tools coming in but he really grew up this year. It's a shame he didn't have a typical LSU defense to back him up or he'd have some championships.

Mett took us from the days of Jordan Jefferson to the 22nd most passing yards this season in the NCAA. He was beast against Bama both times and against UGA this year and really stepped up in big games. Thanks for the memories Mett and making this year a 9-3 season and not much worse if you weren't under center. Good luck in the NFL and rehabbing. Once a Tiger Always A Tiger!!! Do big things on the next level!!

22nd Passing yards (3082)
4th QB efficiency (171.4)
21st in Passing Tds (22)
26th completion percentage (65%)
2nd in Passing Yards Per Completion (16.05)

Late to thread, but want to reiterate all the well wishes to Mett. Made huge strides this year and loves his team. Best to him as he moves on to the NFL.

I bet if this was a thread complaining about Les Miles it would have been 25 pages by now.

get your asses in this thread and let Mett know how much we appreciate him as a tiger.

however, if you are reading this then your arse is in this thread and you are giving him preciation so......

for damn sure (Mett) is going down in LSU history. Haven't seen that kind of heart in our QB in a long time.
His career at LSU is greatly appreciated; his competitive spirit has been inspiring; his talent is unquestioned. And he will be missed by us at LSU, even as we welcome his successor(s?) to the Tiger fold.

Nobody like Mett!!! A Tiger Forever!!! Thank you for giving your all, Zach. We'll look forward to watching you tear 'em up in the NFL.

Nothing but love for this guy. Really enjoyed watching him mature and develop into a top tier SEC QB. I hope this injury is nothing but a speedbump on the road to a long and successful NFL career.

Always stepped up in big games. Absolutely tough as nails. Great arm and grew up a lot since coming to LSU.
Great LSU tiger.
