Sadly, you're right. That class probably set us back a year as far as competing on a championship level goes

But it looks like the 2013 and 2014 classes will get us back where we need to be.

I've been telling people this for the longest. We really fudged the 2012 class, and that set us back a year (although it wouldn't have if Freak, Barrow, and Rasco were what they should have been). We loaded up on the DL, CB (two starters aint bad), and WRs in 2013 and will load up on the entire team in 2014. 2015 also seems like another big year, so we will be set to make a run for at least the next 5 years.

This Nola article states that Derrick Raymond and Jerquinick Sandolph will not make the trip to Orlando for the bowl game, along with the already confirmed Micah Eugene.

Actually, it's worse. There's gonna be a lot more players that won't make the trip to Orlando.

Historically, Les has handled his "processing" much better than the cut throat coaches of certain top programs. He makes sure that they players know when they need to jump ship before there are any misunderstandings. He also makes sure that they don't get bad mouthed if they don't deserve it. Any player that gave his all but didn't cut it will find a place at another good program that needs them.

Les is a players coach in every way and it is a major recruiting tool.

That sounds like bad reporting. If they are indeed being pushed out, he should write a column on it and tell the story. He doesn't know shite

I didn't get it at first. Of course the whole team won't "make the trip to Orlando."

Raymond, Sandolph and Eugene are all solid players...hard to suggest they were not very good considering our D-line push was not there this year.

Overall the DBU standard has been set very high. These guys would start on a ton of D1 squads.
