If Teddy Bridgewater is available at 27...

Do you draft him? If it were me, I would because I think this kid has a ton of potential. To sit behind Drew for a few years would be greatly beneficial to him and our future team.
I know we are in "win now" mode and this goes in the complete opposite direction of thinking, but say the top 5 wr's are gone & the top 4 cb's are gone. Would you rather an situational edge rusher (Dee Ford) or the QB of the future? That's an easy vote for me...

No. You see if anyone wants the pick and will give up some picks.

I personally wouldn't because there will likely be someone more "valuable" to us at that pick.
However, if Loomis and CSP pick Bridgewater at #27, I wouldn't be upset with the pick. But I think we'd be better served by picking a QB later in the draft like A. Murray or somebody in that second tier of QBs.
That's just IMHO though.

The Saints should definitely be focused on winning the Super Bowl now, not finding a QB of the future in the 1st round. Brees has still got some gas in the tank. He needs weapons around him, not a guy who's gonna hold a clip board for 2+ years.

we are at a point where any pick not meant to make this team under drew brees more likely to win a championship is a waste of a pick.
We are at a lets win now while we have a good base to win from phase.

I wasn't going to respond to this thread and just couldn't help myself.
No way in hell do you draft a QB in the 1st and certainly not one named Bridgewater. To quote the modern philosopher, Charley Barkley: "That's a turrible idea, Man."

Solid troll. Must be, cause nobody in the Saints organization making decisions on draft day is that fricking stupid.
If he's there I work the phones like crazy to trade back.
