Gordon is not the best RB in the B1G this year.

yes he is, and he should be in the NFL right now, not college.

Abdullah is the better back. He does more and is more valuable for NU.

Coleman at IU maybe more versatile than Gordon also.

UF in '96 would be tough to beat on the college level if you include the full combo:

Wuerffel
Fred Taylor
Ike Hilliard
Reidel Anthony
Jacquez Green

In terms of pure NFL talent (not necessarily NFL success), LSU in '05 deserves a mention:

Jamarcus Russel
Joseph Addai
Dwayne Bowe
Craig Davis
Early Doucet

Abdullah isnt the better back..... he may be more valuable to NU than Gordon is to Wisky, though thats debateable, but hes not a better player. Neither is Coleman.

CFB history seems to be pretty short based on this thread.

If people really think Mett, Hill, and OBJ are best in CFB HISTORY, then that's just funny.

i respectfully disagree.
Gordon looks and plays like a NFL RB. Wisconsin is terrible, as they showed when they didn't play him against LSU in the second half, yet he's running for 200+ yards a game(when they play him) while his qb's throw more picks than tds and barely complete 50% of their passes.

I'll throw out 2004 Auburn:

Qb - Jason Campbell
RB - Cadillac Williams
RB - Ronnie Brown
WR - Ben Obomanu, Devin Aromashodu, Courtney Taylor

Loved that group as a kid. Although Tebow/Harvin/Demps(TF) were electric in 08.

Yeah, I liked Cadillac and Ronnie on that team, I really liked their WR play that year. Damn good unit, no doubt.

Certainly, although IIRC, Russell obviously blew up the next season. Certainly those guys were talented.

Only group in the SEC to have a 3000 yard passer, 2 1000 yard receivers, and a 1000 yard rusher.
