How can anyone honestly say Miles got out coached?

I thought last nights game was one of Miles' best coached games.

By all accounts, Bama had more talent and experience. They are led by a senior QB who had the one of the nation's highest pass efficiency ratings. He competed less than 50 percent of his passed for about 200 yds.

Amari Cooper, heralded by many as college football's best player, was virtually shut out in the second half and held far below his season average.

The nations best run defense was pounded all night long and gave up over twice their average.

LSU is severely limited at QB and yet was 50 seconds away from the W. You may disagree with the philosophy but by in large it was the perfect game plan last night. A couple catches instead of drops and today is a completely different day.

Because this is the Rant and Les has been fired after every loss since 2005. And will be showered with praise if we win out the rest of the way. This place has worse mood swings than a pregnant woman.

He got out coached in the 5th quarter. That's for sure.

The problem is that the passing game is so poor that we need unbelievable execution in all other aspects of the game to pull out a W against a team with similar talent. And it doesn't appear to be getting much better.

Don't think he was outcoached but agree with haneegriff and risher that the game was lost with sticking to the run no matter what.

Its pretty simple, we lost so people are going to blame him and say it's his fault. LSU fans no matter what Miles does will never be happy with him its just the way it is, doesn't help that we have had JJ/Lee era level QB play.

A couple catches there at the end instead of drops, and today they are praising Miles for a great game-plan and how he outcoached Saban in this game. They would be saying how the coaching staff made major adjustments at half, and completely dominated Alabama on both sides of the ball.

However, the players failed to execute in the end, and that is the fault of Miles. Most of the posters saying Miles lost the game are negatigers and were waiting for a loss to come back out in force. This loss hurt, it hurt a lot because LSU completely outplayed bama. However, when you ask them to specify how Saban actually outcoached miles, and what role he played in the win...they can't tell you. It's just the trendy thing to do to pile on today.

"Miles implements a game plan that requires you to execute it PERFECTLY in order to win."

Someone said this last night and I'm still thinking about it. Maybe someone can chime in. I don't know what to think of it yet.

Miles didn't get outcoached at all. He and Saban both called conservative plays and made sound decisions. I think Les and his staffs inability to develop QBs, and the ineptness on offense because of our poor QB is what helped us lose. Les has a big weakness in football strategy as it relates to personnel decisions, tendencies and exploiting opponets weaknesses.

Great for 3.75 quarters.

UA marched down the field on the last drive. Prevent didn't work.

Got schooled in OT. We've been running down their throats all game and all of the sudden we need to pass for the whole OT series?

Excellent OP.

I'm pissed we lost. But the loss isn't on the game plan or getting out coached.

Dukke V will be here any minute to tell you you're a dumbass.

Here's my thoughts that I posted earlier ....

quote:

It's like some sort of miracle was supposed to happen. Everyone in the world knew the gameplan going in because of limitations at qb.

Yet morons continue to believe that Jennings and the plan around him is to chunk the ball constantly.

Most of these peoppeople are incredibly stupid. It's so hard for me to read this garbage because everyone just HAS to find someone to blame.

Blame the dropped passes, blame the stupid PF that took them off the 5 yard line. Blame the stupid kicker thay kicked the squib kick out of bounds.

The squib is designed to take time off the clock. It's done at the end of halves evert week and when it's executed correctly, it takes ten seconds off the clock. Anyone that watches football knows that. Kicking out of the endzone doesn't take time off the clock, period.

Yet, the coaching told him to kick the ball out of bounds? That shite was the coaches fault? The players aren't allowed to catch blame?

Goddamn, 75% of MFers on this board are borderline fricking retarded

Hey derp look at me. Loss equals. Lame coaching derp

Blame the players this time. They were put in position at the end of the game multiple times to put the game away and they fricking blew it. Not the coaches.

UUUHH we passed instead of running the ball which is our main stay. Could not execute a squib kick. Two of our players dropped easy passes which either cost us downs or a TD (Quinn and Jones). Our QB has not improved from the first game and could have Crawled for a first down instead of throwing up a prayer. We had a timeout to review the trapped pass catch by the Bama receiver. For the 2nd time in two three years we could not get a defensive stop in the final minutes.....I think all that equates to coaching in some fashion. And by the way I love Miles but I cant hide the truth.............

The only way he was outcoached was that the last LSU and Alabama series in regulation, and the overtime, were an object less in the discipline of a Saban team, and the lack of discipline of a Miles team.

we lost that game because of the stupid foul called at the end of regulation. if you need other reasons, four KEY dropped passes and a kick off out of bounds.

given our passing constraints, miles coached a hell of a game.

the refs changed the outcome of that game. that call was the worst I've seen in over 50 years. he did not have to throw that flag, esp over a little push in a very physical game.

I have never bought the concept that bama gets the calls or pays the refs but I damn sure am coming around after that call.

Because of the fricking coach. If our coaches were good we would not be limited at QB.

We also have just as much talent as Bama.
