Tuition is only around 7-9k depending on what school, so really not that much, with Jesuit being the cheapest of the Catholics. The issue is more options now than ever before for good free education. The middle class folks in Jefferson and Orleans are turning to free education from the public funded private schools called charters. They can take who they want and those kids go for free. The pool of potential students for the catholic league has been hit hard, but it only manifests itself at the schools not named Jesuit or BM. Those two schools will always have enough kids applying to take who they need to fill the school and still turn kids aways. The other schools are grasping at whoever they can get. It's pretty bleak at Shaw, Rummel, and St. Aug. Holy Cross is gaining kids, but they are in the same boat as the other three. They aren't turning many kids away.

St. Aug is getting crushed by BM and HC right now. With them losing their 6th and 7th grade, I'm not sure if they'll ever get back up to 5A.

They have a solid, proud alumni base so I doubt they'll ever close, but they'll never be what they once were.

Brother Martin has less than 1000 kids and a graduating class less than 200. That is about 90 kids less than 12 years when I graduated.
I think people are having a hard time paying almost 10k in tuition.
