The pool of potential students for the catholic league has been hit hard, but it only manifests itself at the schools not named Jesuit or BM. Those two schools will always have enough kids applying to take who they need to fill the school and still turn kids aways. The other schools are grasping at whoever they can get. It's pretty bleak at Shaw, Rummel, and St. Aug. Holy Cross is gaining kids, but they are in the same boat as the other three. They aren't turning many kids away.
St. Aug is getting crushed by BM and HC right now. With them losing their 6th and 7th grade, I'm not sure if they'll ever get back up to 5A.
They have a solid, proud alumni base so I doubt they'll ever close, but they'll never be what they once were.

St. Aug will continue to have lower enrollment over the next few years with the rise of a bunch of schools in Orleans parish, plus the public school teams in Orleans have really stepped it up the past few years.
