1982 Florida State. To this day, it is my favorite of all the games I've ever attended.

same... my uncle had an extra ticket because someone backed out on him at the last minute and i got to go... we were in the middle of the upper deck and i was terrified when Fuller caught the go ahead touchdown because the upper deck felt like it was violently shaking and was going to fall down.

Actually the Texas A&M game this year was up there,Les was supposed to get canned,will never forget the applause he got when he tipped his cap before the game.

Besides the usual responses, I'm gonna throw out the '95 Auburn game. It was the first time in at least five years that LSU beat a highly ranked opponent and the stadium was packed and loud like I remembered it to be. From the late years of Archer through Hallman, all but killed the mystique of LSU home football games. Ironically enough, this was the "Bring Back the Magic" game, and lived up to its name big time.

On September 24, 1983, the LSU Tigers defeated the 9th ranked Washington Huskies by the score of 40 to 14. No one gave the Tigers a chance to win after the Huskies knocked off the 8th ranked Michigan Wolverines the prior week.
Further, Jeff Wickersham, QB, LSU, had the game of his life as a Tiger with 3 rushing TDs, 259 passing yards, and one TD pass to Eric Martin. Martin had a big game with 7 catches for 137 yards and TD reception, while Dalton Hilliard rushed for 121 yards with 1 rushing TD.
Although the Tiger's secondary gave up a long TD pass to a UW - WR, LSU secondary recorded two interceptions. The first one was by Jeffrey Dale and the second one was by the "Real" Liffort Hobley, both guys played safety.
Finally, I used to reside in "TIGER STADIUM" as a freshmen during my first year at LSU in 1983. Yes, the football stadium had dorms before it got real bad as for living quarters in the latter years. It does not get any better than that as a Tiger Fan. Opposing teams' fans (Tiger Bait) caught hell from many of us that lived in the stadium at every home game. I loved all the memories, especially the hosing of some fans with the "Fire Extinguisher."

I was a freshman that year (1983). All you needed to get into the games was your student ID- no ticket needed. We stood sideways that whole game bc the student section was overflowing! In fact the attendance exceeded the stadium capacity and was highest ever until stadium expansion. Great game!

My very first game. LSU vs Florida 1997. Pure anarchy and the reason I'm a die hard fan to this day. Very memorable game for me also, not at Death Valley, was the 02 Sugar Bowl vs Illinois. Last game I got to go to with my Dad who passed away later that year. Special night. Owe my love for the Tigers to that man. He was the reason I got to experience both those amazing games.

My dad passed this year. He played for LSU and took me to my first game in 1969. I was 4 years old. He bled purple and gold. I went to countless games over the years and credit my dad for my love of LSU.

They gave almost everybody in the stands purple or gold helium balloons, when the Tigers came out the tunnel they all went up and the place went crazy. You knew the Tigers were going to do something special that night.
They dominated ND 28-8 that night to avenge the 3-0 loss at ND the year before. Bert Jones, Andy Hamilton and Tommy Casanova played tremendous games that night.
