I don't post much but would like to hear opinions on why we lost a WR coach and 3 WR's in a hurry.

Guys want to play. More guys will leave after Spring. It's no big deal.

Program is going down the tubes, can't you see? Low-ranked recruiting class, losing out on quality coaches and replacing them with guys who can't recruit or coach. The end is nigh.

Because we already have players ahead of them on the depth chart and have some studs coming in at WR that will get on the field early as well.

because with an 85 man roster we really need 13 WR's on the depth chart in a system that occasionally goes 3 wide on anything less than 3rd and 5.

Ask yourself, did the three WR's that transferred make a big impact in the last two seasons? Did they get the majority of playing time?
Then...
Look at our current roster of WRs... in our three wide formation we will be starting a senior who is proven and two five star WRs (Tyron and Malachi). We also brought in three highly ranked WRs this class.

One played qb in hs and was thought could play safety, he also graduated. One was a project and very raw, seems like putting on weight is also an issue. And one was hyped up a lot and I think should have stuck around.
Also the fact they were behind 5* players and one underated recruit that put in work after injury, and is an experienced sec wr. Dural also proved early in the little chances he got that he could take the top off the defense and make a big play.

its survival of the fittest...They can see they will not get much playing time or opportunities and they see whats coming in... in all honesty do you blame them?

WR coach was told to find another job. 3 WRs left because that position is overflowing with talent, and they want more opportunities to catch balls. We take about 25 scholarship players every year, right? Over a 4 year pan that's 100 scholarship players. But we can only have 85. Attrition happens. Kids leave early for the draft, kids transfer, and kids get kicked off the team. It happens. I feel great about the WR position, do you?

1. Who was the wide reciever coach?
2. dural, dupre, johnson, ferguson = no playing time for other recievers

What does that tell you about the starting talent and the incoming talent..

Dumb. Go back to not posting much or not at all.

Your name is perfect because you are definitely fishing.

To tell the truth, while a major part of the WRs leaving, is that they want to move on from LSU because they aren't getting enough playing time and other personal reasons, another part is because they see who is coming up behind them and who is already leading them now.
I mean let's just face facts, Dupre, Dural, and Johnson are the top 3 guys right now and that greatly limits these other guys who will be in their third and fourth years. Then you have 6'2 burner DJ Chark who is definitely going to finally get some play time, Derrick Dillon who is dangerously skilled physically but needed a year to build muscle and learn the position, Jazz Ferguson is a 6'5 200+ WR who will likely do what they do but provide a height advantage, and then an almost starting lineup of basketball team size freshman WRs and one that has freak talent like Julio Jones.
When a guy keeps getting passed up by the younger crowd, some see the writing on the wall. Rivers left after being passed up by Jennings and then Harris in consecutive years, and Rettig left after not beating out Jennings and being passed up by Harris. Ware and Ford declared for the draft after being passed up by Jeremy Hill.
I think Tony Ball "leaving" had to do with his lack of recruiting, lack of improving the WRs, and mostly because Craig provides us just a whole lot more and it was the perfect opportunity.
