LSU won 40-14. "

LSU v Rice 1965. We crushed them.

The first game I specifically remember is the 2002 Sugar bowl versus Illinois. I was 10 at the time.

Who caught that pass was it Doucet or Buster?

LSU was out of the Cotton Bowl the minute Notre Dame announced that they would accept a bowl invite for the first time in 30 years. The only way LSU goes to Dallas that year is winning that game. Even then, it would have been no guarantee.

My 1st game was also The Earthquake Game. I was 5.
Told my parents that night that I was 100% going to LSU.

LSU-Auburn 1969. LSU blocked extra point and FG and won 21-20

The first LSU game I attended was in 1949. LSU played Southeastern. My dad was a student at SLC on the GI bill, and we drove over from Hammond for the game.

The BCSNCG vs. Oklahoma in 2003. I wasn't specifically an LSU fan at the time, but decided to pull for LSU because Oklahoma had just won a national championship 3 years before, while it had been a lot longer for LSU. Essentially the logic I use for most games I'm neutral about.

1958 Harden-Simmons I expected undefeated National Champs every year since

Being an out of stater and with no inkling that I'd eventually attend LSU in '83, I remember watching the '79 USC game and thinking "what a cool place LSU would be for college".

I was sitting in the south endzone during that game.

Arkansas was #1 and had 22-game winning streak.
Yes.. Thanks for the update on that. I recall we ruined their winning streak but could not remember the details.
I am too busy to look it up on my own...

I was 13, had to be around 78' with Charles Alexander. I didn't follow LSU at all up until that time. I was strictly a New Orleans Saints and NFL fan.
Now to answer the question the first game going back in my mind that I can remember vividly watching has to be the Florida State(throwing of oranges) game with Dalton Hilliard.

1970: LSU 61, Ole Miss 17. Casanova ran back a couple of punts for TDs, oranges raining down onto the field, Archie in an arm cast.

Come on!!!!!!!! Me and my Dad and the Laplace State Trooper's son or nephew were sitting in the SEZ right behind the goal posts! I remember the SEZ was painted orange with a blue 'A U' on it. Andy Hamilton scored right in front of us on the 1st play of the game on a halfback pass.

On radio? No way to determine for certain. Best guess is the Texas A&M game in 1970. That was a big thing for us in the fall - Pops Midnight would set up a radio outside and barbeque in the front yard ( ). Good times...
On television? The Notre Dame game in 1970.
In person? Florida @ LSU, October 1, 1977.
