My mom got my wife one last year for Christmas. She thought it was just cool to get at first. Now its a must have thing daily. But part of that is that she is a teacher and we have a 14 month old. So she feels comfort in knowing she can see any text the moment it gets sent to her

Exact same for my wife. She's a teacher and loves being able to see what txts or calls are important.

I read this and started laughing. My daughter, who is a counselor in high school, just got one last week for the same exact reason. She was missing critical calls and messages related to my grandson. The watch isn't the cure-all because of the very limited Bluetooth range but it's better than nothing.
I can see that that the watch can serve a legitimate purpose in certain circumstances.
