I bought with one with no regrets. Once you determine what you want, check out this site to send you a notification when your preferred model goes on sale.
I was in similar shoes as yours, ended up with a MacBook Pro Retina display, 256GB 8GB RAM. I wouldn't suggest getting anything smaller than that.
