Buy the $3 long yellow or white "thing" in the plumbing section at Lowes ... It has "teeth" on the sides. It pulls hair out of drains. Works wonders.

Go to a plumbing store like LCR or Coburns and find a product called "Thrift". Comes in a red and yellow bottle I think.

Thrift is the only product that will actually dissolve the hair and soap mixture that is causing your backup.

Call a plumber. You don't want to see what comes out of there

Does the wife have long hair? If so put on of those things down the drain that grabs the hairball. Have fun - it's nasty as frick.

It is always close enough to the drain we can remove the drain cover/strainer and pull it out with a fork or something. I gag and puke every time. Not sure why she can't do the shite herself. It's her hair.

I had a slow draining shower and tried all the chemicals, then finally realized the stopper was hanging too low and not letting water fully flow. If you have a drain with a switch on the overflow then that could be the problem.

i can usually clean mine out with a coat hanger and a shop vac. wife's hair is thick and long so about twice a year i have to pull out something about the size of a dead rat. after that it works fine. it's really gross.

You just need to pull the hair out of the drain. It will resemble a large rat and smell similar to a rotting corpse. You will be sickened to know that you bathed just inches away from something so disgusting.

insta flow flakes

I buy it at stines in LC....

Look around. Follow the directions. Wear goggles. Don't breath the caustic fumes.

Works like a fricking boss

Had this same problem. used a coat hanger and pulled out a couple hot wheels cars from the drain. Apparently my son thought that was a cool garage for them at some point when the drain cover was off.
