Some ladies at trunk or treat this past year were appalled that some of the kids were dressed as Harry Potter.


Edit: It always confused me as a child

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe = cool
Harry Potter = evil
Lord of the Rings = Cool
Smurfs = evil

Well the ban Harry Potter thing is stupid but...

Surely you see the difference between Harry Potter which is areligious more or less and Chronicles of Narnia and LoTR which contain lots of Christian imagery (or in Narnia's case, is an outright allegory to the story of Jesus)

Went to St. Aloysius in BR, and we read Harry Potter as assigned reading the year in came out in 6th grade
