Pot or cooker for crawfish

My wife and I do a boil every year. We have two pots 30qt ea that I use (hand me downs) I'm tied of doing small batches all day. I want to move up to either a larger pot. I'm thinking at least 80qt or a cooker with the hinged basket and lid that acts as a funnel to pour to the cooler.
I want to get people's thoughts on pots vs. cookers. If anyone has used a cooker or seen one used.

Rocket Pot in 3, 2, 1....
I've just used an 80 I got from Sams or Costco for years now. Works fine, bit on the thin side, but it cooks fine.

I have a 120qt pot. Its kind of thin but it works fine.
I think for my next one I will downsize to a 100qt Rocket pot.

I take it this is a cooker?
I saw that one for sale at Buc-ee's for $700. What's the advantage of using one of those as opposed to the typical burner/pot/basket setup? I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone using the cooker except at maybe like a business / restaurant?

Yep that's it! I was thinking the same thing. Not sure if something like that would really be needed for a backyard boil.

Get a pot cuz, Nothing smaller than an 80, if you want to boil a 40 lb sack with fixins get a 100, an 80 will do it but its a little tight. My next pot will be a 100qt rocket pot. That cooker is more of a novelty item than anything especially for 2-3 boils a year. If I had a camp or business where I was boiling every weekend I'd get one.

Thats a myth too..... I boiled some Hammers a few weeks ago.... 40lb sack and they were big.

I haven't shopped around for one, but just off looking at that Bucc-ee's price, it looks to be probably about double what you could get a normal pot/basket/burner set up for.
But if anyone knows the advantages of using a cooker like that, I'm definitely interested...

we went to use my buddy's RP this past Saturday only to find that it had a hole in the bottom of it. one of the pegs on the bottom had bent & ripped off tearing a hole in the bottom of his pot.
I am looking into the crawfish cooker type (150qt) just haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. the ones i have seen at Bucee's are really nice looking and seem to be well built but i don't like the sizes they offer.

You all you want. I fished crawfish, different times of the years they different sizes, all we could ever put was 34-36 pounds in a sack jam packed and jelly tight, no matter if they were small medium or large.

I just know the crawfisherman in the Spillway, Belle River, etc, aren't sitting there separating them by size. They go into the bag and on the road to sell.
