Kids have the day off around here

I think we're one of the only districts in Kentucky that decided to have school that day and it's already been a clusterfrick.
First, you have parents throwing a fit because they've already made plans to drive to Hopkinsville so the district had to accommodate them by creating a form to excuse their absence.
Then they told the schools they had to purchase glasses en masse two weeks ago and that the kids couldn't bring their own in. So some schools on super tight budgets couldn't afford it and others that could ordered the recalled ones on Amazon. Naturally people are upset that their school won't be participating while others are and threatening to sue for discrimination.
Lastly, you have parents who are already threatening lawsuits if their kid isn't "individually supervised" to go out at watch it. Luckily, I'm in a high school so they have a little more sense and understanding. I can't imagine working in an elementary with that responsibility.
I was looking forward to it but I'm now officially way the frick over it. It's a walking lawsuit. They should've just dismissed early and let the parents supervise their own little shits.

Is there anywhere in Baton Rouge that still has eclipse glasses? If not, where can I buy a welder's helmet?
