So... 37,000 people who died due to vehicles last year don't matter? I thought you cared about saving lives and ending needless deaths. Guess you only care about certain deaths.

I’m not totally disagreeing with you but this is a strange comparison. Yes there are comparable amounts of gun and cars. And comparable amounts of deaths from each but the millions of cars on the road are being used on a daily basis while the majority of the millions of guns aren’t been fired on a daily basis. Also very few of the car related deaths are intentional. Many of the gun related deaths are.

Doesn't matter. 37,000 people die each year due to vehicles. Our founding fathers had no clue we would allow a 16 year old to drive a half ton vehicle at 70mph. If we enacted common sense vehicle control, like say banning any engine that can exceed 25mph(speed of a horse aka the speed we've traveled since the dawn of time) we would see that number plummet to damn near zero.

Why doesn't it matter when Timmy gets killed by some jackass hauling arse in a metal death trap, but if Timmy shoots himself with a gun all of a sudden we need to talk common sense gun control to stem the suicide rate.
