I've seen this played out with gambling and education.
No thanks, and that has nothing to do with not wanting weed legalized. I just don't like being lied to.

What happened with the lottery and education spending is a crime. Introduce the lottery and help supplement school funding. Then when the lottery provides a lot of money for schools, take away previous funding and direct it other places. Now schools are reliant on the lottery funds and the lottery is the biggest opponent to any other form of legal gambling because if anything may remotely compete with the lottery, it's taking money from schools.

Yep, SOP LA legislature find new funding source, reduce regular contribution for funding elsewhere.
