Getting Hamill to legitimize their crap. Not unexpected, but sleazy nevertheless.

It would be one thing if Hamill actually seemed to believe what he is saying. I've seen Hamill doing interviews about his voice over work, or talking about the original trilogy, and he's always happy and joking and just seems to be having the time of his life. Hell, he seemed thrilled to death to be playing the Trickster on a CW super hero show.
From his first statements about the movie to the "new and improved" damage control stuff he's been doing since the fan backlash started he looks and sounds like he's bored out of his mind, at best, and at worst like he's thinking about when he had to take a beloved family pet to be put to sleep.
Surely some PR person connected to the studio has to realize that trotting Hamill out to defend the movie has been an epic failure. If I was Disney I'd stop the Rian Johnson "I'm right" tour and go full on Marsellus Wallace. "This never happened." Drop the attempts to defend it and move on.
