This video sums it up for me. The destroying of Luke Skywalker was bad enough, but if Johnson had just stuck with Abrams' story, and not made the preceding film irrelevant, it might have been good. Instead it was a movie of dead ends. Nothing really happened. Nothing mattered. TLJ was a beautiful film, with some amazing action. It was just hollow, dumb, and a slap in the face to people who remember the OT from their childhood. (Which is quite a few)

Not true. Everything that happened in this film changed the characters.

No all of us champ. I rewatched it last weekend. It’s not the best one but far from the worse imo.

I did not like the humor, Finn and Rose were useless and yes the feminist focus was a little annoying but this was not a bad movie.

What was Johnson supposed to do with Luke after TFA?
