even though it says 2 day shipping.... they take an extra day but don't explain what for.

Ordering a very common in stock item now and it says 2-day shipping guaranteed by Sunday Aug 5. The last several items I've ordered, same bullshite.

To clarify, Im not talking about items arriving a day later than they said. Im talking about at the time of the order it says expedited delivery for date of 3rd day from order. It used to ALWAYS say "Free 2-Day Shipping" delivery by day 2. That is no longer the way Amazon lists the shipping options. They changed it.

Call them and tell them every time it happens. You will typically either get 10% off the order or a month free of Amazon Prime.

depends on how lazy your local USPS is. My girlfriend can go to the post office and raise hell and they will go get her package out of the back. usually it will be days for her if it says arrived at post office to when it says out for delivery.

has to be sold&shipped by Amazon..You're right though, and each time something is late, I get on the chat and they extend me one month..

It's gotten a lot worse since I joined years ago. Almost nothing is actually 2 day shipping.

It was always 2 business days. What's the problem here?

ETA - The fact that you're ordering it on Thursday at 2:30 and it will be in your hands on Sunday is actually a small miracle.

It also isn't worth the $100ish you pay

i was getting 2-3 day shipping w/o prime. and their shows are crap, their movie selection are crap, and you have to pay for the music. LOL

People complain about this all the time but my stuff arrives in two days or less 100% of the time.

The problem is that it’s 2 days from when it ships. So if you order something on Monday, and those lazy asses don’t ship it out until Wednesday, you’ll get it on Friday but it’ll still be 2-day shipping. I leave a 1 star review whenever this happens.

Same with everything, I ordered some stuff for work via WalMart and Target and both said free 2-day shipping if over 50 bucks. Well, I'm on day 3, WalMart is expected to arrive today and Target says tomorrow.

Every now and then "2 day" becomes "ship the day after tomorrow and then 2 days" but it's rare and I don't know what causes it. But it tells you on the front end in my experience.

I get 1 or same day more often than I experience that.

If you’re in the BR area, your problem is the UPS facility in Port Allen, not Amazon.

A couple of weeks ago something advertised as prime was going to take 5 days or more. I asked them and they said it was because the item was not in a warehouse near me. And this was an item identified as "sold and shipped by Amazon"

WTH Amazon?

Nah they've gotten smarter. While shipping is still 2 days guaranteed, much less inventory is guaranteed to actually ship right away.

Yeah the tech didn't even offer anything for me. In days past I would get that free month or some type of digital credit to my account.

Complain every single time and get a free month of Prime.

I'm getting sick of the Prime Option showing 2 days then when you check out it changes the date. That bullshite won't fly with me.

Complain LOUD and get a free month of Prime.

I'll have it where it is "Prime" an order on Thursday, but the estimated delivery date will be the following Monday. Since more and more places are starting to collect tax, I wonder how much longer I'll keep my membership. Sometimes they have stuff that I just can't get at local stores and for non-urgent items, it avoids me having to deal with extra traffic and people. So I guess it is a wash.
