I grew up in Monroe, I'm well aware. I just used CCL as a Baton Rouge reference point. The Monroe vs WM argument is long and played out. That being said I don't like Monroe getting dragged through the mud by some 225 baw. Especially due to some as*hole from Sterlington.

Not that I condone the coach's actions, but why is the State Police Commission getting involved other than a trooper's son was the victim. It comes across as bullying by them. They need to be concerned about the actions of some of their troopers, not this.

West Monroe is far safer, for one.
Monroe is literally probably only “safe” in the one area you mentioned, the country club.

West Monroe is full of middle and working class former Monroeites who moved away 2 decades ago. North Monroe is still far and away richer.
