My dad works in the DFW area, and was flying to Houston when The Opening was in Dallas. He sat next to Stripling and Javonne Shepherd on his flight. He struck up a friendly conversation with them. Stripling said hes going to A&M. He likes the idea of playing close to home so family can go see him play. My dad of course tossed in his 2 cents about LSU, and Stripling said he liked Coach O, but the proximity to C Stat was too good to pass up. This was a few months back, so maybe we strike lightning in a bottle. Side note, my dad asked Shepherd who he was liking. Shepherd said he liked Bama, Texas (now committed there), and Georgia. My dads only line to him was "Just do us all a favor... Anybody but Bama." Shepherd got a kick out of that.
