My county has not had a SINGLE race decided by one vote in my entire lifetime ... not even at the PRECINCT level, where the number of votes in an election are often measured in the low triple digits.

But it could, that should be the point. People without the right to vote should not have one counted. It's pretty simple really.

Oh, but voter fraud isn’t really a thing, right Libs?

since they fought to remove the term "illegal", there have been no "illegal" aliens voting anywhere in this country....

now, just don't ask them how many undocumented or non-citizens are voting....

How do you know the failure rate isn't a lot higher? This is only what they suspect, it very well could be a lot more.

Also nice goal post moving.

This needs some explanation. The OP is about the number (possible) non-citizens voting in Texas, I posted about that very topic, using the EXACT numbers presented in the OP.

Where do you see the goal posts having moved? Or is that just the generic Trump supporter response to a well-reasoned post?

58k over a 22 year period isnt exactly earth shattering in a state as large as Texas

This is the 20th revelation of voter fraud by the Dems I've read about in the last 2 years. Each time the left's response to the single case of the week is... 'Well, it's not that many votes.'

Fake news. Non citizens can vote under certain circumstances. Notice how nothing about that is mentioned in the OP.

The headline is ridiculous compared to what's happening.

Sec of State in Texas has 90000 some odd names on the voter registration that possibly match people who weren't citizens at the time they got a driver's license. 58,000 people on that list have voted in 22 years.

So if you registered to vote after naturalization and got a driver's licence before that? You're on the list.

Texas SoS is NOT saying 58000 non citizens voted. They even say the name match alone they have put together is weak evidence overall and want the counties to investigate further.

I bet they can find at least 3 million illegal alien votes between just California and New York.

Who, in 2019, doesn’t have access to a govt issued ID?

Was illegal aliens or was it non-citizens? Either way the vote, if actually made my a non-citizen, would still have been illegal.

I believe one of the methods used to determine that some voters were not citizens would have been their use of a green card to get a drivers license. A green card would make an alien documented, or legal.

It sounded as if the matching program was pretty complete in this case. Some states have looked at names and just made careless assumptions. They're going to follow up which is a good thing.

That's rubbish. And certainly not in California or New York.

Republicans offer nothing worthwhile to Likely Voters and disseminate lies and paranoia bout voting shenanigans.

None of that matters unless an election was decided by a smaller margin.

There's no doubt that some voting fraud takes place, but in the grand scheme of things this isn't a huge deal.

Now we know why the Republican rep in that tight border district spoke out against the wall.
