Here’s my advice OP...
Stay away from the PS1 Classic unless you’re going to hack it.
The library is limited and almost half the games are PAL region instead of NTSC. These PAL games will have frame rates targeting 25 or 50 fps instead of the NTSC’s 30 or 60 fps. In addition to the reduced framerate, these games will also have constant judder.
You can’t go wrong with original hardware. You can also play PS1 games on any PS2 or PS3, and don’t forget about emulation on PC.
