She's the daughter of an Obama-ite judge and she served as Obama's DoJ spokesperson. She's also the one who pushed for the Trayvon Martin killing to be prosecuted as a hate crime.

It's not clear if she's related to the former TX Congressman of the same name, and it's also been suggested that she's a relative of the current president of Mexico.

There does seem to be a political dynasty of Hinojosas in TX though.

On January 23, 2008, he nominated Virginia Governor Tim Kaine to head the Democratic National Committee.[1] Thereafter, a unanimous vote made Governor Kaine the new leader of the Democratic Party.
