Another great breakdown from Matt Wyatt. He really points out how Brady/Ensminger/Burrow adjusted on the last 2 plays of our first scoring drive. Shows where on the play before the touchdown pass, when we hit Chase on the long pass play, we actually had Marshall open deep for a TD, but Joe had to get rid of it quickly with blitz and didn't see it. They quickly realized that match-up and came right back to it the next play, got the same coverage again, and hit Marshall for the touchdown. This was so impressive to me and I definitely feel that this is just one big factor why we will be able to put points on Bama and anybody for that matter. We are lucky to have these football minds on our side and its so fun to watch!

Marshall needs more targets and needed more targets against AU. He’s just a mismatch everywhere he lines up. They were able to bracket Jets and Chase somewhat, but Marshall was just open on most plays, and should of had another TD if Chade wasn’t in same area

Looks like Steven's fault on the long run but damn it Rashard get off your block and get a hand on the running back

Good stuff. It was interesting what he pointed out on the 4th down receiver screen.

It's pretty clear to me.
The WR covered by the opponent's top corner is #3.
The WR covered by their second corner is #2.
The WR covered by their third corner is #1.

I think Marshall has been out of the lineup for a minute so it's taking a little while for burrow to remember that the third option exists. I hope the coaches would be pointing out the shots that he missed between series. Just like above when they went back to Marshall for the TD.

This guy really knows his stuff. I love his breakdowns and how he brings out all the little details that go into play design and calling.

I still don't understand why LSU doesn't utilize its size on the wr core on the goal line with a jump ball/fade. You got 6'6" & 6'4" that can jump out the gym vs 6'0" dbs.

Marshall is Burrow's red zone favorite. He caught the one TD pass and would have had a second if Chase hadn't tipped Burrows pass on the scramble play. He was our leader in TD passes before the injury.

Most of the time WRs aren’t shadowed like that.

Matt Wyatt almost lost me at the very beginning with" LSU SQUEAKS by Auburn", nonetheless, his evaluations are informative. I didn't know he started analyzing "holding" but he made sure to point out that there would have been offsetting penalties, negating LSU's touchdown. If he starts to do that, then make sure to keep it even across the board. I digress, and realize my homerism is probably coming into play.

need sullivan and moss on seam routes
coudl definitely use sullivan on fades. we mainly use marshall and chase tho on those

I think it has more to do with Marshall not being 100%.

It doesn't matter how they line up to cover. I'm just saying there's going to be a bigger difference in the quality of their corners than there is in the quality of our wide receivers. Whatever WR has their 3rd CB on him will be the best target (#1).

Because the red zone fade is one of the most inefficient plays you can possibly run

No surprise that Miles was a big fan of it.
But yes, it basically only gives you a 50% chance to score (even assuming good throw/catch, etc.) vs an 80-90% chance to score if you just get out of the Stone Age and run a proper route combination.
