Monroe is a good call. Imo, Rispone is going to need a boost from President Trump in order to win.
I still say Steve Scalise should've run for Governor, but would you South Louisiana cats have turned out for him?

Steve didn't want to leave DC. Trump personally asked him to run for Governor and he declined.
That being said, he would have definitely won this race. Not in the primary, be he would probably have destroyed JBE in the runoff.

Scalise is a legend forever. And he’s a great man. Perfect for governor one day but for now he is where he needs to be representing us.

So the #2 GOP congressman in the country with high seniority at a federal level should resign a seat to be governor of Louisiana...?
