Teams are trying to keep up. They can throw for a lot of yards, but they aren’t scoring enough points.

Keep in mind, teams playing from behind or in really tight games tend to throw much more. The examples he used are skewed bc our opponents won those other games and were in clock eating mode instead of catch up mode.

While the D hasn’t been stellar this year, they have found a way to play really well for stretches of each big game which allows our offense to pull away. They are plenty good enough to win a championship on the individual level, they just need to perform more consistently as a unit.
