I thought he had really good d’s at LSU

We did have some very good D's under Chavis at LSU, of course we were loaded at every position with NFL talent. He did do some good stuff but he had his issues. 3rd and Chavis is real. He cost us with his prevent defense at times.

The defenses were very good until about 2013 season. The one year we had somewhat of an offense under Miles, the D was very subpar. He was checked out at LSU at the end.

He literally did not recruit and it hurt LSU quite a bit before he left for A&M.

I'm guessing he will go to Knoxville and retire. His kids are still here.

In Chavis’ last year, LSU finished 5th in scoring defense and 9th in total defense

Anyone remember that off-season?

"DJ Welter has had one of the better fall camps that I've ever been around"

Quentin Thomas tears both biceps. Davon Godchaux started at DT next to sophomore Christian LaCouture. Hunter and Rasco were supposed to be breakout pass rushers. Kwon was finally healthy and starting.

Tre White, Jalen Collins, and Rashard Robinson supposed to be our corners with Ronald Martin and Jalen Mills/Rickey Jefferson at safety.

We got absolutely gutted early cuz the DTs couldn't hold up and Welter got shoved around. The only players that looked somewhat good were Kwon and Tre White. Survive against Wisconsin and Melvin Gordon, Get shite on by Dak and company in Death Valley, and get obliterated by Auburn 41-7.

Eventually that defense grew tf up and had excellent showings with an absolutely dreadful offense that couldn't ever bail them out. 2015 was supposed to be great but Steele changed all the coverage schemes and our pass defense went to shite.

That was really frustrating and I had flashbacks of that many times this season

The defense got better immediately once DJ Welter’s arse was welded to the bench and Kendall Beckwitj took over for him.

If he isn't retained by Pittman, he'll be out of the SEC.

He shut down Johnny Football when nobody else seemed to be able to... including Bama.

He could be a valuable analyst. Just sit on his fat arse, watch film, and tell the real coaches where the weaknesses/strengths are of both their team and their opponents.
