Watched all the news folks walk up and down the sidewalk when the Japanese exchange student was shot and killed. Not exciting but noteworthy.

I knew the guy that shot him

One of my classmates blew up the shitter with a few quarter sticks of dynamite. Got caught because he ran out of the bathroom with his fingers in his ears. True story.

His nephew was a friend of mine. He wasn't a bad guy and by all accounts it wasn't malicious. Shitty situation all around.

I met him years after and he seemed to be a nice guy. He was servicing forklifts where I work. That was probably 15 years ago.

Oberlin High School- 1982. Went to the semifinals in basketball my junior year. Lost to Bernice and Benny Anders who went on to play at Univ of Houston with Hakeem and Clyde Drexler in the Phi Slamma Jamma era. Otherwise, not much went on.

Ruston

Had a dude named Reverend Island for first period Drafting, he never took roll and barely came in the class room.

We would sneak out and go play pinball/smoke weed, got away with it all year.

BRHS mid 90s. The kid who sat next to me in Biology committed suicide...reportedly over fear of making a B. A smart kid in our school from a good family raped several girls in our class..not date rape..I think at knife or gunpoint. He got arrested and convicted.
