I definitely depart from this boards general feeling on this. The government doesn't need to be providing children with sugar and grease laden foods. People are fat enough already and eating habits start young.

There’s a difference between providing kids with fatty foods and literally starving them like this program has done. My friend, who coaches at a local public school, said that they had to provide bread and bologna aside from the lunch because what the kids were getting fed wasn’t enough. For a lot of kids, a school lunch is the only meal they might get for the day. How on Earth are three chicken nuggets and a sweet roll going to nourish these kids?
