In 2005, Pelini was hired by LSU Tigers Head Coach Les Miles, again as defensive coordinator. His success continued, as LSU was ranked 3rd nationally in overall defense for each of his three years with the Tigers.

I find it hilarious that people think he’s baffled by the spread or something. Good coaches don’t know a scheme good coaches know football and how to attack opponents weaknesses. Pelini has seen plenty of spread offenses in his time. Great hire and can’t wait to watch an aggressive defense looking to take someone’s head off again!!

One thing I'm going to do right now, is trust Coach O. He has shown his sincere desire for LSU to win. He is the coach, but he is also as much a fan as the rest of us. I think Pelini has the resume, now let's see if he has the right attitude and heart.

Any update on when the press conference might be? I know the hire was still pending approval from the BOS as of yesterday.

They might wait until the staff is complete to do a press conference. Which might not happen until after signing day
