It's not clever nor funny. Frankly, it's embarrassingly lame. But offensive? Nah

If you go to a LSU game and tailgate there is people all around playing music, its hard not to come across "inappropriate" music for kids.

People are drinking and its hard not to hear people say things that are inappropriate.

You get in the stadium and during the game.. From my experience, going back to since I can remember, I heard people yell inappropriate things.

Yet you are worried about your kids hearing STDDB? Can you just teach your kids its something they are too young to say?

Id say we could all compromise. Raise ticket prices one penny for everyone in the stadium to afford ear muffs for those who are offended and the children of the offended, but Im afraid yall might be offended if I bring up the word muff....

Neither did the fictional "Eddie Haskell."

People can act differently around their parents, etc.

I know I did.

High school was like Jekyllette and Hydette. Drinking age was 18 and we were all in bars by 16 or 17. Did our parents know? Not in this lifetime. Underage everything was common in the 70s and MIPs were not enforced like they are now.

Did I say sttdb was witty? Maybe you should read what I said before you attempt to be witty. Calm down with your holier than thou attitude. You bitches cry over words. Toughen up Lucy.

As many people have said - yes, inappropriate things have always been said. But no, very lewd, coordinated chants across 10s of thousands have not always been the norm.

I remember the pearl clutching when "bull...shite...bull...shite" sort of came en vogue to chant stadium-wide after a questionable call from the refs. Anyone being honest would admit that there's a huge space between bullshite and suck that dick, bitch.

I’m offended by neck
I don’t want my 12, 10 and 7 year old kids hearing that. If you’re not honest with yourself enough to admit that it’s old/tired and vulgar, than you should at least be honest with yourself enough to admit your an a..hole for not carrying about offending people who pay money to go to the games and did nothing to deserve to be offended in that way...
Geaux tigers!!!
My main observation is how most people on this topic simply argue whatever they want to do and not what is actually consistent with most of the rest of what they believe.

Many of the same people castigating the OP are the very same ones who:

Have lectured to us over the decades about the "coarsening" of society

Acted as if a Disney movie having a hint of a gay character would turn little Jimmy gay upon viewing

Lectured to us about how trashy it is not to take your hat off/stand up/whatever when it comes to the national anthem

All of this "it's a football game, what do you expect, it's always been like this" is a cop out. I can remember plenty of instances of "real men" in Tiger Stadium back in the day warning other men who got a little carried away with the vulgarity/profanity to watch it...there were women and children present.

And this is before even touching on the obvious fact of how embarrassingly uncreative and tired the whole thing is. I'd be up for something WAY more vulgar...if it were done with any bit of cleverness at all.

I even laughed back in the day when Tiger Rag had to be dropped after TDs because of the "ha ha ha ha ha...assholes, assholes" that the students insisted on adding to it. It was funny. For like, 3 games tops.

Show me ONE instance of the same person making these statements and I’ll give you a little credit. Otherwise, you typed all that garbage to say NOTHING. Complete strawman argument

We need some new material. STTDB is the crowd chant equivalent to a little Johnny joke.

Time to move on.

I mean, the average LSU game attendee is a Republican and/or Trump supporter. The listed talking points aren't controversial in those circles.

This is a good one. If a kid sees a bunch adults not take their hat off for the anthem, doesn't that mean that the kid will grow up to do the same? Or does that kid's parent tell the kid that it's wrong if that's what they believe?

Neck needs to go away. It is vulgar and indecorous. What is the point aside from appealing to the least common denominator?

Just to be clear you're referring to LSU students as the least common denominator here, correct?
