Advantages - pass on your genes. They are cute as hell until about 6.

Disadvantages - open up your checkbook buddy.

Your kids pay for you and take care of you when you get old (if you did a half decent job) so the rest of us don't have to take care of your selfish arse with our tax money.

You’ve never felt love like your babies curling up with you and telling you “I love you daddy. You are the best daddy in the world.”

You won’t get it until you get it

greatest feeling on this planet is watching your kid be born. 2nd great is hearing them say I love you, daddy/mommy.

tons of great experiences. It's sad when they become teenagers and you realize you won't ever have those best times again. ages 3 to 7 are so awesome.

disadvantages: sucks when your daughter starts dating

Disadvantages: Being quarantined with them.

Can’t think of any advantages at the moment.

Disadvantages- the wreck your favorite vagina. No sleep for years. Mad expensive. Usually worried about them getting hurt. Once they hit puberty hey hate you.

Advantages: uhhh....it’s worth it, it’s worth it......it’s worth it.

Oh...and there is no greater thrill than the first time your kid asks, "Daddy, how did you get to school?"

Well, it was 5 miles...uphill both directions. Always snow on the ground. Walked it...barefooted.

I know of no better feeling in the world than having your kid give you a big hug and kiss then tell you they love you. It's the purest love that exists.

Disadvantage. They can be little monsters.

Advantage. There is no better feeling than having your kids curled up in your lap.

Just have toddlers now. Don’t know anything about the horrors of pre-teen and teen.

Not sure if a serious question.

If you are a responsible parent, it completely changes your life. Costs a fortune, and you have a lot less "me" time. I am no longer the most important person in my own life and I have to put someone else first.

But, speaking for myself it really is the purest love I've ever known. From the second my daughter was born, I've never loved anyone or anything more. And I love my wife, my parents, siblings, grandparents, and some friends very much.

I love it. I thank God every day for how lucky I am. But if someone is not ready for the sacrifices required, having a kid would be awful.

Live longer and a more satisfied life but you have to want children. They are expensive, the biggest investment of time and energy you can imagine. They will change your life in huge ways. You will be a better person for it the world will look different to you. You will live for them. You can’t beat the rewards of a hug and their unconditional love from them either. If you don’t want them don’t have them and you will not know the pain and joy that comes with them. It is a huge net positive but it has tough days and amazing days.

I love them much more than I hate them.

The girl is home from NYU and I love her more than she knows. She is also 19 yo and acts like it which sometimes pisses me off.

The boy is 25 and, until today, was a software developer at a small firm. I also love him more than he knows

His fiancee is an ICU nurse as is my niece. Go Vandy Go.

Sorry for the vent. Its been a long day.

IF you educate them and punish them properly, they will grow up and have a chance to do very well.

Instill strong family values into them while they are still young and they will have them their whole life.

One of them could grow up and develop a cure for COVID-19 or some other dangerous disease.

Not having a child means the person that could have helped millions would not have been born.
