Yeah, saying that the commander not knowing that sending an email to "20 to 30" people might find its way to the public domain was "either naive or stupid"....



Then that same shite saying that he was surprised that his speech to thousands of sailors on an aircraft carrier found its way to the public domain....

OK, and?

This isn't a military thing..even in the corporate world you are told to be careful what you say in an email as it could be easily forwarded.

Sending an email out to 20-30 people and not thinking it will end up in the public domain is both naive and stupid.

Loose lips sink ships. The military has been drilling OPSEC in our heads for decades. A captain of a goddamn aircraft carrier, being a commissioned officer in the United States Navy, should have known better. It should have never come to this where it had to be addressed.

But don't let that stop you from your sad little victory lap.
