Am I wrong to think the military has gotten soft ( politically) in the last 10 years? I joined in 2000. Boot camp, the Idgaf from superiors, just do your job mentality without crying. Amazing a CO did they opposite of what your suppose to do and is getting rewarded with his job back. Crazy.

I went in around the same time. Yes,the military is getting softer in many ways. Some good. Some bad. But the old timers when I went in said that the military in 2000 was way softer than when they joined in the 70's and 80's

Fundamental transformation. Doesn't mean there aren't some good folks still floating around at senior levels, but they're in a small minority. By design.
