Yeah. I forgot you were in the other thread non-stop talking about the Corona Virus killing everyone and knighting for a longer shutdown.
You must have me confused with someone else. I oppose the shutdown 100%, and have from day 1.

I do have an agenda, as we all do. Mine is the truth, what's yours?

Then wait for it to come out instead of being in several threads on two boards calling everyone a racist the last five days who doesn’t believe in your “truth.”

Suck it up, buttercup. We are in for a long ride.

You mean the truck that was parked in the street for the sole purpose of confronting Arbery? The truck driven by an armed man who had exited the truck for the purpose of confronting Arbery? The armed man who moved to cut off Arbery after he went to the right to evade?

None of this is illegal.

quote:

You already know that several of the neighbors are crazy and seemingly homicidal, why would you think anyone's property around there is safe to enter?

Then why was he jogging there? Why did he enter a home there if it was so unsafe? I’m not going to go jogging in Harlem if I think it’s unsafe.

quote:

And what gives you the idea these guys would just give up at that point?

They wouldn’t. They were detaining him until the police arrived.

quote:

They have already gone to extreme measures, and they have two vehicles and you're on foot.

Extreme to you. But totally legal under Georgia law.

quote:

And forcing a confrontation with gun in hand is aggravated assault, a felony.

Get off of Twitter, bro.

And if you kill someone while you are committing a felony, you are a murderer.

It’s cute how all of these internet lawyers comprehend the law.

I am only arguing the truth that no one on either side denies. And that truth is the McMichaels confronted Arbery with guns drawn.

The only even remotely arguable thing is whether Arbery, in the situation he was in, could have reasonably believed that he was about to be injured. I don't know about you, but if a couple of guys track me down, with their buddy trailing me, block my path, and hop out with guns drawn, I'm worried as frick that I'm about to be injured. And that's if I'm innocent. I'm even more worried I'll be injured if I'm not so innocent.

This is an extraordinarily easy argument to make. When confronted by unknown people who have guns, a reasonable person would fear for their life. And that's aggravated assault.

What if one of those guys was a cop that investigated you in the past?

Would you be worried about dying, seeing that you didn’t die before with the guy. Or were you just scared of going to jail again?

Well shite, I wish you had told me this sooner. If I had known it was legal to brandish a weapon and order people to do my bidding, I might have lived my life much differently!

Then why was he jogging there? I’m not going to go jogging in Harlem if I think it’s unsafe.
Because he didn't realize it was unsafe until he was assaulted by multiple residents? Come on, man.

They wouldn’t.
Exactly, it was clear that they were not going to give up. They forced a physical conflict. With deadly weapons.

You might be surprised to learn that aggravated assault is, in fact, illegal in Georgia.

It's not that hard to understand.

If a former cop is going around committing felonies, he clearly has no respect for the law. And he's got a bone to pick with me? Now I'm even more worried for my life.

What felony did the cop commit?

But you didn’t die from the previous bone he had to pick with you.

You only died because you went for another man’s weapon who was legally carrying it.

So, you know more than the retired cop with 40 years of experience in law enforcement?

This is all bullshite you’ve blindly copy pasta from the media, NAACP, and social media. You’re a clown. A sheep. Someone who can’t think for himself.

My pastor has been telling me it’s a sin. But I pity people like you.

Former cop. Aggravated assault.

So?

But he wasn't legally carrying it. He was brandishing it with the intent to intimidate.

No, but I know he was in the wrong in this instance. Do you think cops can do no wrong?

Actually, everything I'm posting here is based on my own thoughts after watching the raw video dozens of times and reading Georgia law. I can screenshot my browser history if you'd like.

So?

You said you would fear for your life after interacting with the cop again. So, would you be more scared of dying or going back to jail?

quote:

But he wasn't legally carrying it. He was brandishing it with the intent to intimidate.

He was legally carrying a weapon in a vehicle owned by him. Nothing about that is aggravated assault in the state of Georgia.

How?

Plenty do wrong. You’ve made a lot of claims about him doing wrong. Nothing true.

Its indeed true. Most people arguing, including myself, dont know a lot of details. The more details coming out shows this is being used as race baiting. I saw the Atlanta mayor baiting it earlier saying it was a modern day lynching. Gtfo lady.

She even blamed it on Trump!

It’s an election year. This is as expected as it was in 2016 when BLM lone wolfves came to Baton Rouge and shot up the cops.

Aggravated assault.

What's funny? It is very clearly stated in the law.

Assault:
quote:

Commits an act which places another in reasonable apprehension of immediately receiving a violent injury.
And aggravated:
quote:

With a deadly weapon
quote:

You said you would fear for your life after interacting with the cop again. So, would you be more scared of dying or going back to jail?
If he is an actual cop in uniform, jail. If he's in the back of a pickup truck with a gun, and his son jumps out with a shotgun, dying. No question.

He was legally carrying a weapon in a vehicle owned by him. Nothing about that is aggravated assault in the state of Georgia.
See the law above.
