fricking terrible PR move for LSU.
I don’t know the actual law either. Does the 1st amendment cover hate speech? Is this considered hate speech since it doesn’t seem to be a call to violence? I have no idea.
What I do know is a statement somewhere along the lines of “ We, as a university, are currently investigating this situation closely. We stand tall with our members of the black community at this time. Geaux Tigers” would’ve been a whole lot less inflammatory than the shite they put out

The terrible response was any response at all to unverified twitter posts of a known race baiter who has wrongly “outed” the incorrect person on multiple occasions.

We are in a better spot from Top to Bottom leadership wise in my lifetime regarding the football program.
I trust whatever decision that is made on this matter will be the right one for the team as a whole.

The problem with so called hate speech is who gets to define hate speech.
I think it is hate speech to burn the flag and promote killing cops yet people are doing it under the 1st Amendment. Therefore, it is this student's right to say what he wants.

Hate speech, which is prohibited in the Bible (evil speaking), is not a matter covered in the Constitution. Hate speech as promoted today is a marxist manipulation technique designed to undermine the right to free speech. At this moment, some vile marxist is boiling that I am dismissing the hate speech mind control technique.

Love poems don't need protection. Anti-government or "offensive" are the only speech that need protection.

It was written precisely for hate speech. Why would anyone try to limit people talking good about something.
A. You need to understand that it is not illegal to be a racist.
B. What the left thinks is hate speech, means all conservatives should have their speech limited. So if hate speech isn't free speech then the gov't can limit all speech and just say that it is hate speech.

It protects all forms of speech even hate speech. Otherwise it isn't freedom of speech.
