Definitely all about the money. They're simply balancing the loss of revenue this season on one end versus the potential liability/legal expenses/future lost revenue on the other end if something freak happened and a player contracted the virus and died. "Player safety" is a consideration, but only from the standpoint of liability.

But, if they do any sort of cost/benefit analysis, then they are REALLY F*CKED if they decide to play.
