LSU’s highs have been higher, but their lows have also been lower.
I imagine Ohio St has been the much more enjoyable team to root for over the same period given their consistent success.
Having said that, if you’re someone who subscribed to the model that you can’t embrace the good times without the bad, then LSU is probably your pick. I imagine I would’ve preferred to be an Ohio St fan, though. People forget how tumultuous and toxic some of those late phase Miles teams were and even the beginning of Ed O’s tenure.

LSU has been pretty consistent though. Nothing like an OSU 2011 with 6-7.
It really comes down to OSU being the regional heavyweight and LSU being stuck with Bama and occasionally Auburn and Florida. OSU has not faced that kind of in-conference beast since 2006.
Obviously it's impossible to do this, but if you removed Auburn 2006, Auburn 2010 (assuming LSU doesn't also blow AR game), Bama 2011, Bama 2012 LSU is a legit NC team in each year.

LSU and Oklahoma are the only two teams since 2000 to not have a season with less than 8 wins.
What's your definition of lower?

They are Greece. They are Paris. They are art. Better to have loved and lost than loved and held on. It makes you appreciate the love. They are jazz notes echoing through the streets of Marigny and OSU is the top 10 pop station playing in a Ford Explorer. I for one choose art
